Why are there paid subscriptions?

Right now the maintenance of the sire costs me about 300 euro/year (€65 for the .lgbt domain, €200 for subscriptions related to how the site is built and hosted). The paid subscriptions will exclusively be used to promote the stories and get more stories on mediums like facebook, twitter and google.
